IQNA – Seyed Abolfazl Aqdadsi, a teenage Quran memorizer from Iran, is representing the country at the international Quran competition of Bangladesh.

Aqdasi went on stage at the competition to showcase his Quranic talents on Sunday evening.

He was asked different questions and then asked to recite several verses from memory and name the Surah in which those verses are.

Ten memorizer of the Quran from Iran, Bangladesh, Yemen, Syria, Oman, Egypt, Algeria, Tanzania, Libya, and Jordan are competing in the international Quranic event.

A group of internationally-recognized Quran experts evaluate the contenders’ performances in the areas of memorization, Sawt, Lahn, Waqf and Ibtida and Tajweed.

The competition is set to broadcast for millions of Muslims in Bangladesh during the upcoming month of Ramadan.

Aqdasi, 15, is a memorizer of the entire Quran from the northern Iranian city of Rasht.

He started learning the Quran by heart at the age of six and managed to memorize the entire Holy Book in two years.

Last year, he represented the Islamic Republic of Iran at an online international Quran competition in Algeria.
